The Country House Portrayed – a talk by Roger Mitchell

The Country House has been a popular subject for artists, engravers and photographers from Elizabethan times to the present day. The first half of the 19th century was something of a golden age and our part of the country was particularly well represented in the publications of J.P. Neale and Edward Twycross.

Ormskirk and District Historical Society is dedicated to encouraging interest in local history and beyond by annual programmes of lectures, discussions and visits to locations of historical significance.
