Walking tour of Central Liverpool

We strolled gently along Castle Street admiring grandeur of the historical commer-
cial centre which developed around the trade through the Port of Liverpool. Today’s atmosphere was light hearted, celebratory and a far cry from the hustle and stress of yesteryear. Each building resplendent with decorations heading ever
skyward announcing to the world Liverpool the largest port in the world. Threading our way through the gathering of people from far and near, and in fact the four corners of the world who were celebrating the weekend, we realised we were in a unique area of a unique city, displaying architecture and public art from
three different centuries. As the Law courts and the Victory Monument came into view most of us realised why we were suffering a pain in the neck. It was time to rest and enjoy a good cup
of coffee, and time to plan the next leg of our exploration, perhaps later in the year
Enjoy the Summer, see you all in the Autumn
