BIG HISTORY EVENT – April 29/30th at St George’s Hall, LIVERPOOL
We have only recently been contacted by historian Ken Pye of Discover Liverpool, with an invitation to exhibit at this event.
Local history, heritage, family history and special interest history groups from anywhere across Merseyside will be exhibiting at this event. It is an opportunity to advertise our Society and meet with others from the Merseyside area. Our Society will be attending again this year.
So what will be happening?
Admission is only £1 to the public at the door, and specifically to support the restoration of the Minton-Tiled floor.
During each day there will be a programme of 8 talks by guest historians.
A special Local History Question Time Panel Event.
(Tickets for the guest talks and Question time panel are only £2 each – available at the door on each day, or in advance from St George’s Hall Shop).
There will also be privileged Guided Tours of the building (Tickets only £3.50 available on each day, at the door, or in advance from St George’s Hall Shop).
The café will be open and special afternoon teas will be available.
Our Society have booked a table and will be displaying photographs and information about Ormskirk and the surrounding area.
We do hope you will find time to attend.
However . . . . . . we are looking for a couple of volunteers to help!
We need people willing to help set up and ‘man’ our table for an hour or so on either of these days. We may be able to organise car sharing.
Do you have any time free over the weekend of 29/30th April?
Get in touch with Pam Nanson our Secretary or Pam Harrison for more details. (01704 631191 or 01744 733500) or by email.
This is only a few weeks away – so please don’t delay.
Thanks.
Pam Harrison.
