She defended 10 Murder cases and was made the first female King’s Counsel. and defended the acussed in many notorious trials eg The Cameo Murder trial.
1910 Margaret Kelly born in Dublin as a weakling child and was recommended by her Doctor to take up dancing to strenghten her legs she joined ‘a dance troupe when she was 14 and latterley formed the famous Bluebell Girls troupe in Paris and succeded in getting all her ladies and Jewish husband back to England after internment during the war.
1906 Lady Margaret Symie who did tremendous work to improve ‘the lot’ of children in Liverpool and obtain better court treatment for offenders and famously stood up to Sir Kenneth Oxford who at the time was chief of police..
!900 Ethel Austin who was born in The Dingle and who with her tramdriver husband started the famous furniture stores company in 1934 after a period running a succesful wool shop. She and her family greatly supported the Womens Hospital in Parliament St.
?? Lizzie Christian a famous diminutive lady who sold fruit and floweres from a barrow outside Cental Station and gave a wonderful service to all classes of people and whose funeral was attended by the famous Bessie Braddock.
1899 Bessie Braddock a famous fighter for peoples rights initially as a member of the communist part and latterly as a Labour MP.

1876 Jesse Read a 24 year old school teacher who took the headmistress job at Shaw st school where the school it self and the pupils were in a desperate condition she organised clothing and shoes for the children and started bath houses for the mothers in the school basement and with her’ Posse’ controlled truancy.
1879 Eleanor Rathbone became a hard working MP and had family allowance put on the statute book
