Hi, this is to tell you about a special event that I am holding at the beginning of December this year, and which I hope you will come to, with your family and friends!
My show ‘Curious Christmas Tales and Traditions’ will entertain and amaze you with fully illustrated and animated stories about the who, what, where, when, and why of our Christmas traditions.
This takes place in The Gladstone Theatre, Port Sunlight, on Sunday afternoon the 4th December, at 2.30pm.
Tickets are only £20 each, directly from the theatre box office, or by phone at 0151 643 8757, or on-line at Curious Christmas Stories and Traditions with Ken Pye – The Gladstone Theatre
In this fun and nostalgic afternoon, I shall be taking you down Memory Lane on a sentimental journey through the Christmases of our childhoods ~ visiting grottos to see Santa; sending him letters up the chimney; fish paste sandwiches and jelly in paper cases at school Christmas parties, and so much more.
Why do we call turkey ‘Turkey’? Why do we hang up stockings? Who invented Christmas Pudding? Who really is Father Christmas? And what about all those Christmas pop songs and ballads?
This will be a great way to begin your Christmas festivities.
I hope you can come to this event, and could I ask you to support me by spreading the word, and perhaps printing off a few of the leaflets and giving them to friends, colleagues, group members etc. Thankyou.
My kind regards, as always,
Ken
